Statement in 2019 – inaugural festival
This will be the first time a fully formed food and drink festival has been held in Mumbles. It’s been a longstanding option for many years, but funding has always been an issue along with manpower.
Mumbles Traders have run other successfull events that incorporate food and drink for example the Oyster Festival which was the closest to a fully formed food and drink festival that the area has held. The proposed event has been replicated in Bridgend and Brecon with a food festival element at Brecon Jazz Weekend and the Food Festival in Bridgend in 2017 – both managed, arranged and promoted by epm Creative Marketing who will be managing and building the event on behalf of Mumbles Traders and Tourism.
We hope this event will be an annual event showcasing not just national producers, brewers and food business but share the local talent and highlight local business in the food and drink industry.
We must thank everyone who has contributed and helped get the event off the ground weather financial or in favour – Mumbles Community Council, Food & Drink Wales, Mumbles Traders and Tourism, local businesses and anyone else we may have forgotten.
